Across from Squaw Creek
is a little log house--
Better known now,
as the Cottage House.
Nestled in trees,
where Llamas are grazing,
a Pheasant's faint crow
is truly amazing.

Squaw Creek Minature Horses

Our Miniature Horse Ranch is located 4 - 1/2 miles from Lander Wyoming at the base of the Wind River Mountains We have raised many types of animals in the past, and just recently started a small breeding herd of miniature horses.

Miniature horses are a nice addition to the Llamas and add a new dimension to the ranch. The wonderful nature and size of the miniature horse we feel can be of a great advantage to those persons that love horses, but for various reasons can not have a regular sized horse. They are great for people, either young or mature who are intimidated by the sizes of the regular horse, people living on a small acreage, those wanting a horse that costs less to keep then a regular horse...in essence those horse people that want a horse that is easy to handle and maintain.

We plan to raise a few foals each Spring. Some will be for sale and some will be kept to help build our herd. Well know bloodlines in the Miniature Horse world such as Rowdy, Komokos, Bond, Vant Huttenest, Gold Melody Boy, Wittmaaks Mickey Mouse...to name a few of the outstanding names in the mini world are in our Mares and Studs pedigree background. Coat Color in the miniature horse is very vast. The colors such as black, white, gray, seal brown, sorrel, buckskin, Dun, Roan, Silver, Pinto, Palomino, Appaloosa and with the many combinations of the above add to the excitement of breeding miniature horses. Our primary breeding goal is for great conformation and soundness, gentle accepting attitudes, and minis that are esthetically beautiful.

Some of the activities that mini horses are involved in the show world are...various halter, jumping and driving classes. Of course just plain loving and enjoying them in the pasture with or without foals is the greatest pleasure in owning the mini horse.

Visitors are always welcome. Plan a vacation to spend a few days on the ranch and enjoy all our animals, and the beauty of Wyoming's beautiful Squaw Creek Valley. If interested in purchasing a mini horse please contact us for availability, pictures and prices.
